Building on an already impressive franchise, the MG5 wedges from TaylorMade feature aggressive saw-milled grooves that together with the Spin Tread Technology provide 13% more spin than the MG4. There are 6 individual grinds to choose from, each with their own unique grind and sole design.
- The MG5 wedges from TaylorMade feature aggressive saw-milled grooves. Reengineered with ultra-tight tolerances, steeper walls, and sharper radii, these grooves help the MG5 produce more spin than previous MG generations
- Like the generations before it, the MG5 wedges utilise a RAW face finish and all-new continuous Spin Tread Technology to help golfers maintain spin and control in wet conditions
- With Spin Tread Technology working with the saw-milled grooves, the MG5 retains 13% more spin than the MG4 in wet conditions. These technologies also maintain a more consistent launch angle between wet and dry conditions
- The MG5 wedges feature a suite of six individual sole grinds:
- SB – a full-sole design with a constant trailing edge
- SC – a mid-bounce grind for peak versatility
- SX – a wide-sole design that provides consistent turf interaction
- HB – a high-bounce design for improved stability
- LB – a minimal-bounce design ideal for players with shallow swings
- TW – reflects Tiger Woods’ current desires in a wedge
- Available 46°-60° degree lofts
