Over the course of this season we have welcomed a lot of visitors from many different countries. We have worked hard over the past few years to increase the visitor revenue to help improve the golf course. One of the big targets has been to increase overseas visitors and this has been very successful.
We are very lucky here at Arbroath Golf Links as we can offer overseas golfers a true links experience and in many cases at a fraction of the cost of some of the big names out there.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is speaking to visitors after they finish and hearing how much the enjoyed the course, the greens the run offs, the bunkering, the list goes on and on.
I think it is testament to the hard work Ally, Alan and Garry put in day in day out and also to the volunteers who are there divotting, tidying up paths, emptying bins, you name it!
This past couple of weeks a few of the visitor who have played have left very positive reviews on social media and online. I have shared some of these in the pictures attached to this story.
Here is a link to a review from a Javier Pintos, who is originally from Argentina bit has lived in Spain for the last 15 years working as a panelist for the Top 100. He played the course last Saturday with a couple of members (Club Captain Stewart Cadger one of them) and he absolutely loved it -
