Family Greensomes Final

It was great to see two of our juniors competing in the Family Greensomes Final this past Sunday. Ben Teviotdale was taking part with his Dad Paul whilst Freddie Ruxton was taking part with his Uncle Andrew.

The match was a close affair with Ben and his Dad just sneaking it in a 2&1 victory. Great to see their hard work paying off and fingers crossed more of the juniors from the growing section can continue to improve into next year.

Custom fitting

What Is A Custom Fitting?

This past week I have been out on the range doing a mixture of Fitting & Coaching, although sometimes the pair intertwine! I think most club golfers are starting to see the benefits of Custom Fitting but for those of you who either don’t think it is for them or have no idea what it’s all about here is a quick explanation.

We start off in the shop with a static fitting where we take some measurements, we then ask a series of questions with regards to ability, cosmetics, budget and expectations. From this information we take a selection of products to the range, then the fun really begins, we get you to hit a series of shots with each club, gathering data on all of them using my ES14 Launch Monitor & iPad Pro. From a combination of the numbers and my knowledge from almost 15 years in the industry, we determine which club is working best.

We then fine-tune the club to make sure it performs as effectively and consistently as possible. From there it is a case of putting together the order and waiting the 5-7 working days, sometimes less, for your order to arrive. Simples!

New From Under Armour

Last week we took delivery of some exciting new Under Armour products. I want to talk to you quickly about two of these.

Firstly is the Rush Base Layer. This incredible piece of clothing has innovative technology which captures the energy your body releases, recycles it into energy and sends it back to your body! This helps increase blood flow and powers the muscles which is vital during a long round of golf.

The second item is the Storm Daytona Pullover, Cold Gear Technology is built into these garments to help regulate your body temperature to stay warm and dry. The pullover also has a durable water repellent finish to keep you dry.

Available in a range of colours this was one of the most popular pieces last autumn/winter and has subsequently been brought back in a fresh lineup of colours for this year.

A brilliant upgrade

A warmer option

As we begin the inevitable slide to Christmas (yes, I said it), it's time to ditch the shorts for some warmer layers. Fortunately, we have a range of mid-layers and jackets available through us that will keep you warm and dry whilst successfully battling the elements this winter.
