Course news

Course Maintenence

Due to the wet weather at the start of the week, there was a delay in starting the maintenance work on the greens. The team are now almost complete and with some reasonable temperatures forecast it should start to repair itself fairly quickly.

I have attached a picture of the practise putting green to let you see the work being done. The reason the team cannot do the work in the wet is the seed sticks to the machinery and together instead of separating and going into the holes that have been made. The seed is expensive so it is vital it does the job it should.

They've done it again...

When a product has been the centre of a range for over a decade you know it must be pretty special, right? We certainly think so and it can be said of the Srixon AD333 golf ball, which is now into its ninth generation.

How does it differ? Well, it feels amazingly soft, provides even more distance and imparts a lot of spin when around the green. It's definitely worth a go, even if we do say so ourselves.

Battle of the irons

Before we pit these two beauties against one another, have a think about how good your bad shots are? It's a bit of an oxymoron, but are they disastrous and leading to big scores or are they less penal and still go somewhere around the green?
