Course news

Course Update

After a tough time we finally managed to get 18 holes open again on Monday, at the time of writing we have managed to get 12 full greens back in play hopefully by the time you are reading this we will have all of them back on. We are only a little over 2 weeks away from the beginning of the season so hopefully we will get some good weather to help dry out the course and get off to a good start this season.

Club news

Suited and Booted are coming to Glenrothes

Saturday 24th March - The highly rated “Suited and Booted” are performing at the Club on 24th March in what should be a cracking night. A few tickets are still available, please contact the club if you would like to purchase a ticket.

Captain vs Vice Captain 31st March

The season opener is the last Saturday in March this year and the sheet is now up in the club to enter.

The tee times start at 11.30 so hopefully we will see a big field and maybe even some sunshine for the season opener!

Bag Trade - IN

It has been a busy few days with deliveries here at the shop and there are still plenty to arrive. This month I have a bag trade in offer running - If you trade in your old bag you receive £20 off any new bag in stock! This season I am stocking Callaway, Motocaddy and Lynx bags so there are plenty to choose from.

Find the perfect wedges for you

We all know how important short game is so why not make sure you have the correct wedge set up this season.

Book in for a gapping session or a wedge fitting session to make sure you have no excuses for hitting it close from 100 yards and in!!

This season I am stocking Cleveland and Callaway wedges both of which I can custom fit for.

New arrivals

This week I should receive more deliveries of Spring/Summer clothing just in time for the current heatwave with temperatures reaching highs of 8 degrees!! Under Armour, Callaway, Stuburt and Sunderland are a few of the brands that will be available shortly.

One last piece of news from the Pro Shop - Are you fed up of using a boring old white golf ball? Well this season I will have a range of colours from you to choose from!

Our new era has begun

Last week you received an email from us asking for your help. It wasn’t anything too onerous or time-consuming; simply sparing 20 seconds of your time to complete your golfing profile.

The reason we’re asking you to do this is so that we can start sending you personalised content that is more relevant to your golfing needs. For example, if you’re a lady golfer with a handicap of 28 then the weekly emails you receive will include ladies product that will be suited to your game. Likewise, if you’re a gentleman off 12, we will begin sending you content that will help you to get your handicap down to the holy grail of single-figure digits.

Thank you to everyone who has already completed their profile and for those of you who haven’t been able to as of yet, please try and do so in the near future.

Leather or synthetic?

From rain and thermal options to tour-favoured leather and more budget-friendly synthetic, there are lots of gloves for you to consider, which is why we’re here to lend a helping hand.

Why do tour players choose leather? Well, leather gloves offer the best feel with the traction you need to generate power. It’s also moisture resistant so will stay soft for longer.

One glove that fits the bill perfectly is the Srixon Cabretta Leather glove that is worn on tour by Hideki Matsuyama and Graeme McDowell. It’s made from premium leather for responsive feel with great grip, while a lycra insert across the knuckles aids comfort and flexibility.

New: Skechers men's range

Those of you who have been in the shop over recent weeks will have noticed a lot of new products sitting on the shelves, including Skechers' 2018 shoe range.

Skechers trainers are synonymous with comfort and their GO GOLF range is no different. The Pro V.3, Elite V.3 and Focus 2 are all worn on tour and are a must try for anyone considering new golf shoes this year.
