Course maintenance update This past week has seen the maintenance work to the greens completed. They were verti-drained then more top dressing applied. With all the heavy rain we have experienced recently it has been difficult work for the team but they have managed to get the work completed. From the beginning of November we will be starting the course from the 10th, with the front 9 becoming the back 9. During the week, Monday-Friday, the front 9 greens will be on temporary greens with the back 9 on full greens, except in extreme weather conditions. However at the weekends we plan to have the front 9 on full greens where possible. The reason for these changes is to give the front 9 greens a rest as they are heavily played throughout the main season. Also on mornings when there is frost in the ground the back 9 tends to clear quicker, by the time you play the front 9 they should have had sufficient time to thaw out. |
